City Hall Tower- Museum of Krakow

The first mention of the architectural symbol of Krakow's power, authority and political prestige dates back to 1316. During the Middle Ages, the building was constantly expanded. City councillors in 1454 brought Master John from Toruń to work on the roof, at which time work on the structure was most likely being completed. Expanded further in the 15th century, and later enlarged with an extensive Renaissance section in the mid-16th century, the town hall survived until 1820, that is, until it was demolished.
