The Sukiennice Gallery Museum
The Cloth Hall - a large commercial hall built in the 13th century in the middle of the Market Square - expanded in the 14th century in Gothic style, thoroughly transformed in the middle of the 16th century in Renaissance style, after the restoration in 1877-1879 began to serve a representative function; great balls and patriotic ceremonies were held here. Due to its location and character, the rooms of the first floor of the Cloth Hall building became the first headquarters of the National Museum in Cracow. Initially, this space was shared by the Museum with the Society of Friends of Fine Arts.
